If you have created / registered a channel then you own it. You decide what the settings are, how much privileges you give to your friends. It's got a lot of settings like that, everything you need to start up an online community - available 24h.

So you pick a nickname that's unique to you ... just tell each other what the channel name to type is. An unlimited number of people [unless you decide to limit that number] can all put the same channel in and once connected they will be instantly linked to one another.
